The Cold Dark

WTF? Who?

These are just images I liked enough to splatter onto a public facing page.

Most of my photography takes place in the dark and usually with winter tones, hence the name.

I’m based in Fairbanks, Alaska and work shifts, which leaves me on a night schedule about half the time.

That means I’m pretty familiar with the high contrast, stillness and distortions that show up when you’re out shooting after dark. I tend to pull the blues back with night shots since most cheaper LEDs are very heavy on blue light. My aim is not to distort much beyond what I remember seeing unless i’m having fun with the color space of course.
